Brady drama - Glove or no glove?

Sports Xchange - Monday 22nd January, 2018

New England quarterback Tom Brady, all eyes on his injured right thumb, showed up to Sunday's AFC Championship Game with his hands shoved into the pockets of his jacket.

Brady, listed as questionable on the injury report, has been expected to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The bigger question might be if he would wear a glove on his throwing hand to protect the thumb.

The 40-year-old Brady missed practice on Thursday and attended Friday's press conference with red gloves on both hands. A source told the NFL Network that the quarterback was "zinging it pretty good" during Friday's practice.

Mike Felger of WBZ in Boston reported that Brady needed four stitches to close the cut, and Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston reported that Brady's right thumb was bent back severely on Wednesday during an attempted handoff to Rex Burkhead. Curran said the ball was pushed into the webbing between Brady's thumb and index finger, causing the cut.
