BONTOC, Mountain Province, Jan. 20 (PIA) -- The provincial government recently recognized winners of the 2019 Provincial Search for the Healthiest Places.
Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Nenita Lizardo and Provincial Administrator Johnny Co awarded check of P50,000.00 and a certificate of recognition each to Mabalite in Tadian as the healthiest barangays; Am-am National High School, also in Tadian, as the winner in the secondary school level, and Mainit Elementary School in Bontoc as the healthiest elementary school in the province.
The provincial government also awarded P5, 000.00 and certificate of recognition to each of the barangays and schools that participated in the fourth year of the provincial search.
Cash prize received by the winners will be used for health and related project in their respective areas.
The search was conducted first at the municipal level through the Municipal Health Offices. The municipal winners of each category were the entries to the provincial search which were validated by the provincial search validation team in the months of November and December 2019.
Through the aid to the Provincial Health Board fund, the Search for Healthiest Places is conducted annually to encourage healthy environment consciousness and healthy lifestyle in the communities and schools. (JDP/JBS-PIA CAR, Mt. Province)
