5 CPP-NPA members voluntarily surrender to 86IB, Quirino PNP

AGLIPAY, Quirino, July 12 (PIA)-The Quirino Police Provincial Office (QPPO) reported that five members of Samahang Propaganda and Milisya ng Bayan CPP-NPA recently surrendered voluntarily to the joint operating troops of 2nd Quirino Provincial Mobile Force Company led by PLTCOL Walter A. Pasicolan, force commander; Nagtipunan Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Dominic Rosario and the 1st QPMFC and the Bravo Coy, 86IB, Philippine Army.

In a press release issued by the QPPO, the five former members of the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) were identified as Dominador Busania Madayag a.k.a "Ka Dor-as," 58, single, farmer, secretary/chairman/organizer of Timpuyog iti Mannalun ti Quirino (TIMIQ); Clarita Annaguey Magda a.k.a "Ka Sampaguita," 72, widower, farmer and organizer of TIMIQ and both members of Samahang Propaganda.

The others are Dinlove Rose Adchao Padohinog, 32, married, farmer and recruiter/revolutionary collector; Erlinda Badol Cumpalas, 68, widower, farmer and Florenda Relosor Aryate, a.k.a "Ka Nida," 66, widower, farmer. All are members of TIMIQ and residents of Barangay Sangbay, Nagtipunan, Quirino.

During debriefing, the said former CTs divulged that they voluntarily surrendered due to unfulfilled promises for their better future and failing health.

The following items were also surrendered: one(1) Garran riffle with marking Springfield "US" with 19 pieces live ammunitions; one(1) piece caliber .38 SW pistol with three(3) ammunitions; three(3) pieces rifle grenades, one(1) piece fragmentation grenade and one(1) piece live ammunition for M14 rifle.

QPPO Provincial Director Renato B. Mallonga said the surrender was made possible thru the conduct of intensified military operations together with the cooperation of the Local Government Units (LGUs) and the continued support coming from the public who are already fed up with the atrocities of the CNTs.

"This is in line with the PNP's Anti-Insurgency Program on the implementation of Executive Order No. 70 committed to safeguard the interest of the public and maintain its community based programs and activities thru the continuous field operations and Adopt a Family Program," Mallonga added.

Further, PCOL Mallonga urged the remaining CPP NPA members to lay down their arms and live a normal life with their families while they still have chance.

"Those who will surrender will be enrolled in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), the latest program of the government that provides shelter, employment, and livelihood for the rebel returnees," the provincial director said. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
